Winter is the best time for skin rejuvenation
It’s freezing outside, so it’s a great time to think about your skin’s appearance and do something to help it.  If you are starting to see those lines and wrinkles appear, you have scarring such as acne scarring, have seen your skin starting to sag and lose its tone, or just need to improve your appearance and rejuvenate the skin, think about getting the Skinfinity fractional ablative radiofrequency treatment.

This treatment uses a roller tip to deliver radiofrequency waves into the skin, creating a customizable ablative and thermal effect on the skin.  This resurfaces the skin and causes microscopic thermal injuries into the skin to cause self-healing and new production of healthy, young collagen fibers to restore skin tone and laxity, improve pore-size and acne or other scarring, and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.  The way this is used allows for rapid healing with very dramatic results and most skin types can use this safely, as opposed to other laser treatments.

If you are looking for fresh, smooth, radiant skin, then you may be a good candidate for this procedure.  It takes about 1 hour for your appointment.  The skin is numbed with a triple numbing cream.  After this has taken effect, then the treatment is started.  You will have 3 different passes done on the skin, each producing different effects.  You will feel some warmth (sometimes feeling hotter in certain areas and passes) and a zapping sensation, but this is minimized with the numbing cream.  The nose tends to feel the zappiest! (Is that a word?)   Overall, the treatment is quite tolerable.

Following the procedure, the skin will feel warm with some stinging still occurring for several hours.  The skin can be slightly pink to bright red, depending on the treatment level used.  Some even develop a little swelling, but this usually resolves over a few days, as well as the redness.  The skin will feel sensitive to touch for a couple of days as well.  You will begin to have sloughing and peeling around day 3 and be mostly healed by day 7.

You will see immediate revitalization of the skin after about 1 week, then continued improvement that progresses over a course of 6 months.

I usually recommend to start out with a series of 4-6 treatments at 4-8 week intervals for optimal results.  To keep up your beautiful new skin, maintenance sessions should be done every 4-6 months thereafter, since none of us are getting younger and we want to maintain our new skin and continue to stimulate new collagens and smooth the skin.

I’ve seen amazing results with this and done the treatment on myself multiple times. Your skin will feel amazing and look very smooth and continue to improve.   It can be used on any part of the body, but most will do the face and neck, with some including the décolleté area.  This is also great for stretch marks, which will be significantly smoothed with the treatment, though will never fully disappear.

I can also combine this treatment with PRP therapy for improved results and healing.
