ReJuvePeel Chemical Peel

This uniquely adjustable peel will rejuvenate aging skin. The ReJuvePeel improves photo-damaged skin with age spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. ReJuvePeel treatments also exfoliate the skin while reducing acne breakouts and pigment marks, controlling oil production, and evening skin tone and texture. This chemical peel combines a peptide wound-healing accelerator with alpha and beta hydroxy acids with resorcinol.

How often can the ReJuvePeel be performed?

It can be performed monthly to every 3 months (rarely longer), depending on depth of peel.

What will the ReJuvePeel feel like?

Some may feel a mild stinging, but typically not much at all. After a few minutes of the peel being on the skin, it can feel a bit numb or tingly, almost like when your foot falls asleep a bit. But, this is a very comfortable chemical peel.

What will the skin look and feel like after a ReJuvePeel treatment?

You can expect your skin to be pink to slightly red with some flakiness for the first few days. However, this can depend on the depth of the peel. If the peel was medium depth, then some scabbing can develop with more redness, more peeling and brown leathery skin will develop as well. Some may even have a bit of swelling; others may have none at all. The skin often feels tight.

Can I still exercise after a ReJuvePeel?

Aerobic or vigorous exercise should be avoided for the first 48 hours, longer if the skin feels tight and leathery.

My skin is peeling post-treatment. What do I do now?

DO NOT peel, rub or scratch your skin at any time. This WILL cause damage to your skin and can compromise your results and can possibly cause marks, scars, or stains on your skin. Please continue to apply the recommended products only to your skin. If you have a piece of dry skin lifted up, snip it off with clean scissors, but do not pull it off.

I like to get a tan. Can I go into the sun after a ReJuvePeel treatment?

Of course the answer is no. Especially directly after the chemical peel, you need to avoid sun exposure for the first two weeks at least (this may be more depending on the depth of the peel performed extending up to 6 months), but you also should wear broad spectrum sunscreen, more specifically, I recommend Daily Replenishing SPF30+ directly after the procedure. To continue your protection, you should avoid sun exposure as much as possible and wear daily sunscreen, wear clothing protection and wide-brimmed hats to further protect your newly rejuvenated face. There’s no need to further photo-damage it.
